| | Model of the car: | L300 4x4 | | | General comments: | A perfect van for this island. Fits all my windsurf, surf and kitesurf gear, and goes anywhere. Great for weekends away in Fuerteventura, gets to all the inaccessible beaches. A bit juicy being the 2 litre petrol model but worth it. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Simple mechanicals mean that it doesn't break very often. Had to rebuild the gearbox, oil strainer snapped off (engine saved by oil pressure light!), Chews through a set of tyres every year but gets a lot of off road use. | | | Previous car: | Range Rover V8 (1980) |
